Grifols starts legal action against Gotham City Research after fraud allegations

Grifols (MCE: GRF), the Spanish producer of blood plasma-based products, is not taking the stock market damage done to the company by UK short seller Gotham City Research without a fight.

Gotham City this week accused Grifols of artificially manipulating its debt and earnings figures. This was allegedly done through transactions with Scranton Enterprises, a company related to the Grifols family that founded and controls the group.
