Global vaccines producers are losing their positions in the Russian market, due to the ever growing competition with local producers, which receive support from the state, according to recent statements of producers, reports The Pharma Letter’s local correspondent.
This is despite the fact that vaccination coverage in Russia, particularly against flu, has significantly increased in recent years.
This is confirmed by statistics from the Russian Ministry of Health, according to which the vaccination coverage against flu in Russia over the last 11 years has grown by 2.4 times from 28 million people in 2006 to up to 67.4 million people vaccinated in 2017.
