The German federal government took over the European Union Council Presidency on July 1, 2020. It is therefore a moderator in the European debate until the end of the year.
The main goal of the German government is to quickly recover from the crisis in Europe caused by COVID-19.
In addition, it also sets ambitious goals in other policy areas, where three priorities have been identified by the Federal Ministry of Health:
