The European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) has appointed Nathalie Moll as its new director general.
Currently secretary general of the European Association for Bioindustries (EuropaBio), Ms Moll will join the EFPIA in April 2017. She will take over from Eric Cornut, who became the interim director general in December, succeeding Richard Bergström, who spent five years as the head of the trade group, but announced his decision to move on to new pastures in September 2016.
Commenting on the appointment, Joe Jimenez, president of the EFPIA and chief executive of Swiss pharma giant Novartis (NOVN: VX), said “Nathalie has an excellent track record of leadership and engagement across the life science sector. We are confident she is the right person to lead EFPIA, working with stakeholders to address the challenges faced by healthcare systems in Europe.”
