Amid the endless series of headlines about Brexit and Donald Trump, the latest appearance of the Ebola virus has not received the international attention that the previous outbreak did.
But according to a GlobalData report, this new outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) needs to be an international priority.
Indeed, the World Health Organization (WHO) is now considering re-establishing a panel to declare the DRC Ebola epidemic a global health emergency due to a mortality rate that has now reached 740 deaths, and at least 1,160 registered cases.
