Crowdfunding 'could transform cancer treatment worldwide'

In what is believed to be the first move of its kind ever, healthcare professionals in the UK have resorted to crowdfunding to provide cancer patients access to treatment.

Care Oncology Clinic (COC), an independent, private organization providing oncology treatments, has launched an appeal in response to perceived frustration at the current big pharma-led model to cure cancer with new drugs.
