Right-wing think tank The Institute for Policy Innovation (IPI) has commented on the ongoing US Congressional debate over “Medicare for all” proposals, condemning the idea as imposing: “socialist price controls on Medicare's prescription drugs.”
The IPI, which is funded by conservative activists Charles and David Koch, as well as corporations and conservative foundations, is concerned that a related idea called “binding arbitration” could now gain support in Congress.
The group says the proposal would be just as damaging as Medicare for all, and “would allow government-appointed arbitrators to dictate” prescription drug prices.
