China a surprise leader in pharmaceutical billionaires

The  Hurun Report has released a new pharmaceutical rich list that reveals details of the distribution of profits in the industry.

Established as a research unit in 1999 by British accountant Rupert Hoogewerf, the Shanghai-based group is famous for producing China’s equivalent of the Forbes Rich List.

Out of a total of 109 billionaires in the sector, the report reveals that China has the most billionaires, at 37, followed by India with 20 and Switzerland with 16.
