Cannabis-based medicine on the rise as German firms link up

Bensheim-based medical cannabis specialist Avextra has announced a strategic partnership with fellow German firm SynQube.

The collaboration aims to advance drug development with a focus on cannabinoid and psychotropic substances.

SynQube is led by Christian Steup and Holger Rönitz, the founders of THC Pharm, the first company in Europe to manufacture and distribute the synthetic THC medicine dronabinol.
