Nearly £60 million ($77 million) has been given to researchers from across North America, Europe and Israel by the world’s leading cancer research charity.
Cancer Research UK is funding three major international programs as part of its Grand Challenge award.
One of the projects will target using the microbiome to beat bowel cancer and will be led by experts at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard, involving an international network of scientists.
