C/Can conceived to combat cancer across global cities

More than 20 pharma companies have given their backing to C/Can 2025: City Cancer Challenge, a new initiative launched at the World Economic Forum’s (WEC) Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, on Tuesday.

This new city-level initiative has been launched in partnership between the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), WEC and the World Bank to help country and city leaders to improve the health of their citizens and reduce inequalities in access to quality cancer treatment and care.

"This is a call to action for all sectors to support city governments with populations above one million to respond to the rising epidemic of cancer"
