BRIEF — WuXi expands California site

Chinese research and development platform company WuXi AppTec has announced the expansion of its facilities in San Diego, California.

WuXi's newly-expanded facility will establish a center of excellence in screening, discovery biology, pharmacology, and small molecule process R&D including Phase I GMP manufacturing.

There are around 1,700 WuXi employees in the USA, where the company also has six other facilities. Globally, there are 27 sites.
