A stopgap spending bill to keep the US Government’s lights on would slash $2.85 billion from an ObamaCare public health fund.
Washington press reports that the fund, which is due to spend about $10 billion over a decade, makes up 12% of the entire budget of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The spending cuts in the bill, which is currently working its way through the US Congress, would enable funds to be redirected towards other healthcare programs, such as “an extension of various expiring health-care programs and funding for community health centers.”
