BRIEF—POA Pharma expands into Germany

Specialty Denmark-based pharma company POA Pharma has announced its expansion into Germany.

POA Pharma, headquartered in Copenhagen with additional facilities located across the Nordic region, is part of privately-held Northern Ireland-based company Galen.

In Germany, POA Pharma will focus on the distribution, marketing, and commercialization of proprietary, generic, and rare disease medication.

Johnny McGaughey, Galen’s head of business development, said: “As the largest pharmaceutical market in Europe, Germany has been a continual area of focus for the organization. We welcome new partnership opportunities and look forward to establishing successful collaborations in this region.”
