British contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) Ergomed has appointed Michael Spiteri as chief transformation and technology officer.
Formerly a non-executive director at the firm, Mr Spiteri has over 30 years' experience working in IT in a range of industries, including at HSBC, PwC, Accenture and IBM.
Executive chairman Miroslav Reljanović said: “Since joining our board in 2018, Michael Spiteri's strategic insight has been extremely valuable to us as we have developed our strategy of digital transformation across the business.”
“His appointment demonstrates Ergomed's continued focus on becoming a leader in the application of digital technology in the pharmaceutical services industry, and I look forward to working more closely with him moving forward,” he added.
Ergomed has also appointed Jonathan Curtain as deputy chief financial officer.
Mr Curtain has spent 13 years with the Nasdaq-listed contract research organization (CRO) ICON, where he was senior VP of corporate and commercial finance.
