On February 1, 2018, Bi Jingquan, Minister of the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA), met with the visiting Dr Ian Hudson, the chief executive of the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), and his delegation.
Both sides reviewed the good cooperation between China and Britain in the field of drug regulation, and exchanged views on further strengthening exchanges and deepening cooperation.
The CFDA's relevant departments’ responsible comrades attended the meeting.
One day before the meeting, witnessed in the Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and British Prime Minister Teresa May, Mr Bi and Dr Hudson signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Department of Health and Social Care of the UK and Northern Ireland and the China FDA on Regulatory Cooperation of Medicines and Medical Devices.
