BRIEF—Exscientia establishes Japanese subsidiary

Oxford, UK-based artificial intelligence specialist Exscientia has set up a Japanese subsidiary in Osaka, led by Daisuke Tanaka, the former director of innovative chemistry at Sumitomo Dainippon.

The Japanese division has been set up to focus on business development in Japan.

The company will also provide a strategic base for the broader Asia region, including China, Singapore and South Korea.
