BRIEF—Drugmakers contribute to AIDS fund targeting southern USA

Marking World AIDS Day, numerous drugmakers and charities including Gilead Sciences, the Ford Foundation, the Elton John AIDS Foundation, ViiV Healthcare, and Johnson & Johnson have announced a new $2.65 million fund to combat the disease.

The Southern HIV Impact Fund will provide support and financial resources to combat HIV/AIDS in the south of the USA.

Grants will be provided to 37 organizations working in nine southern US states.
