British pharma major AstraZeneca has appointed Stefan Woxström as senior VP of Europe and Canada, replacing Iskra Reic, who becomes executive VP of vaccines and immune therapies.
Formerly country president in Japan, Mr Woxström will lead the company’s sales, marketing and commercial operations in 30 European countries and in Canada.
AstraZeneca said its priorities for the region would be growing the business through the expansion of its therapy areas, and helping make healthcare systems more resilient.
Mr Woxström has been with AstraZeneca since 1996 in various sales and commercial positions, including four country president positions.
