BMJ editorial slams state's 'abrogation of its duty' over Brexit

A strongly-worded editorial in the British Medical Journal (BMJ) has called on healthcare professionals to stand up and highlight what it calls the ‘risks of Brexit to our health and our health services’.

The piece is authored by Mike Gill, retired regional director of public health, the academic Martin McKee, campaigner Mark Malloch Brown and Fiona Godlee, editor in chief of the BMJ. All declare that they voted to remain in the European Union (EU) in the 2016 referendum.
