Australian government praised for commitment to med subsidies
Trade group Medicines Australia has welcomed the commitment made by its country's government to a scheme to ensure patients receive timely access to innovative meds.
The Australian government has committed to maintaining funding levels within the federal budget for the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).
Under the PBS, the government subsidizes the cost of medicine for most medical conditions.
