Australian cannabis-based drug company seeks to benefit from change in UK law
Australian medicinal cannabis company Althea has announced it is launching a UK-based subsidiary aimed at leveraging its experience as a supplier of cannabis-based pharmaceutical products.
Looking to benefit from legal changes that permit specialist doctors to prescribe such products to certain patients, the division will partner with global cannabis company Aphria.
The firm says it is already working with prescribers in the UK and expects to be supplying products from March 2019.
