Australia is to create a simpler system for members of the public to complain about the advertising of medicines and medical devices.
From July next year, the country’s medicines regulator, the Therapeutic Goods Administration, will become the single body responsible for handling advertising complaints.
The reforms, which will be externally reviewed after three years, are being implemented following a public consultation which recommended their introduction.
