AstraZeneca raises quick $350 million from hypertension drugs sale

Anglo-Swedish drugmaker AstraZeneca (LSE: AZN) has agreed to sell the commercial rights to Inderal (propranolol), Tenormin (atenolol), Tenoretic (atenolol, chlorthalidone fixed-dose combination), Zestril (lisinopril) and Zestoretic (lisinopril, hydrochlorothiazide fixed-dose combination) to UK-based Atnahs Pharma.

The deal excludes the rights in the USA and India, which were previously divested, and in Japan, where they will be retained by AstraZeneca.
