Aqemia, a next-gen French pharmatech company leveraging artificial intelligence and quantum physics, has entered into a multi-year research collaboration with French pharma major Sanofi (Euronext: SAN).

The collaboration aims at discovering small molecule drug candidates across several therapeutic areas. Aqemia will leverage its unique platform that combines deep physics with generative AI at scale to identify the right chemical molecules for therapeutic targets of interest to Sanofi.

The deal builds on the companies' existing partnership to design and discover novel molecules for oncology that was first initiated at the end of 2020 and then extended in 2022.
