ABPI asks UK political parties how they will unlock pharma

The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) has issued a challenge to the UK’s political parties ahead of next month’s election.

The trade group has called on the parties to set out in detail how they will unlock the industry’s potential to drive UK heath and economic growth.

"We urge the next government to commit to being a partner with industry"Pharma is already the largest investor in UK research and development, investing £9 billion ($11.5 billion) in 2022, delivering £16.4 billion in economic value and bringing 126,000 high-skilled jobs to the UK right across the country.
