US drug delivery company EffRx has licensed its proprietary drug EX101 (effervescent alendronate), for the treatment of osteoporosis, to Swiss drugmaker Nycomed. EffRx will receive upfront and milestone payments up to $59.0 million, as well as double-digit royalties. Nycomed will also sponsor all studies required for marketing approval.
