A newly-licensed liquid version of metformin HCl is now available from Rosemont Pharmaceuticals, whose 150ml liquid 500mg/5ml formulation has just been granted a licence by the UK's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
Rosemont's liquid metformin HCl carries a distinctive new look which will set it apart from other liquid medicines, the company claims. The extensive Rosemont medicines range is undergoing a major transformation. Each pack will be color coded and also carry a symbol to indicate for which therapeutic area the product is indicated - based on the familiar disease categories set out in MIMS and the British National Formulary, for example. Over the course of the next 18 months, all 98 Rosemont liquid medicines - both licensed and specials will appear in new packaging.
