Neuraxpharm buys narcolepsy drugs

Central nervous system (CNS) specialist Neuraxpharm Group has acquired Provigil (modafinil) and Nuvigil (armodafinil), both of which are indicated for the treatment of excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) in adults with narcolepsy.

The deal with an unnamed vendor will see Neuraxpharm acquire the products in most markets outside the USA. Japan, Korea and Thailand are also not be covered by the agreement.

Provigil’s main market is Europe, with significant sales in France, Spain and Italy.
