19 February 2025

Privately-held Ventus Therapeutics, a biopharma with two novel small-molecule programs entering Phase II development for immunology, inflammation, and neurology disorders, has appointed Mona Kotecha (pictured, above) as chief medical officer (CMO).

Dr Kotecha is billed as having an extensive track record in drug development and corporate leadership, bringing 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

Prior to Lilly, Dr Kotecha led clinical development for pain and psychiatry at Biogen (Nasdaq: BIIB), where she was the clinical lead for the partnered development of zuranolone in depressive disorders.
