South Korean firm SK bioscience (KRX: 302440) announced that Indonesia’s Food and Drug Agency, BPOM (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan), has approved the Biologics License Application (BLA) for the SKYCellflu quadrivalent prefilled syringe.
SK bioscience, whose shares edged up 2.5% to 57,800 won on the news, pointed out that this is the world’s first quadrivalent cell-cultured influenza vaccine. This is the first time a domestically made influenza vaccine has received approval in Indonesia, it added.
