India's government proposal to enforce price controls on more drugs (Marketletter November 3) has led to criticism from the world's largest drugmaker. Kewal Handa, Pfizer's managing director for India, described the regulations as "politically-driven." He also blamed "a mindset of control" for the government's initiative. Mr Handa was speaking at a health care and pharmaceutical summit organized by the health care club of the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad.
