- Hoechst Roussel's Oestrogel, claimed to be the most popular form of hormone replacement therapy in France, is now available in the UK. The product comprises a hydroalcoholic gel, containing 0.06% 17 beta estradiol, which is applied to the upper arms and shoulder or inner thighs once daily. Oestrogel is being introduced into the UK by the Cassenne division of Hoechst Roussel Ltd.
