- Glaxo Wellcome's appointments for its operations in Asia Pacific are: (ex-Glaxo) Alan Barker area director, southeast Asia; David Pierce area director, northeast Asia; Ken Windle area director, Australia and New Zealand; and (ex-Wellcome) Chris Howarth area director, Indian subcontinent; and Ho Sau-On chief executive of the Hazeline cosmetics business. Meantime, former head of Wellcome Japan, Gabrial Cipau, has resigned after Glaxo's Christopher Adam was appointed to oversee the meger of the Japanese operations.
