The 63rd World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland, which brought together Health Ministers and senior health officials from the World Health Organization's (WHO) member states, concluded business and closed last Friday, reaching 'agreement on some items that are a real gift to public health, everywhere,' said Margaret Chan, the World Health Organization's Director General.
Among the resolutions adopted by the more than 2,800 delegates that are of particular relevance to the pharmaceutical sector were:
