Indian drugmaker Cipla (BSE: 500087) has appointed Umang Vohra as its new managing director and global chief executive to replace the outgoing Subhanu Saxena.
Cipla has announced that Mr Saxena, who has been in the role since February 2013, is stepping down at the end of August due to family priorities.
At that point he will be succeeded by Mr Vohra, who joined Cipla in October 2015 as the global chief financial and strategy officer and was elevated as the global chief operating officer early this year as part of a planned progression.
