Edgewise Therapeutics (Nasdaq: EWTX) has announced promising top-line results for its candidate EDG-7500, aimed at treating hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM).
Following the announcement, shares in the Colorado-based company surged by more than 50%.
The drug aims to improve heart function by reducing pressure on the heart without negatively affecting ejection fraction, an important measure of heart performance.
