The Danish government is rolling out the red carpet and welcomes several pharmaceutical companies.
It shows how important the industry is to the Danish economy - and can be for Norway if the government follows the Danes' example, says Leif Rune Skymoen, chief executive of Lif - the Pharmaceutical Industry Association in Denmark.
With new measures, the Danish government will make it easier to establish production facilities in Denmark. A total of 102.4 million Danish kroner ($14.9 million) is set aside for red carpets for production companies in the period 2024-2027. The measures are linked to the upcoming Danish Life science strategy.
