- The UK Committee on the Safety of Medicine has changed the datasheet of the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory tiaprofenic acid (Roussel's Surgam) in the light of evidence linking it with severe cystitis. The changes say that the drug should not be given to patients with pre-existing urinary-tract disorders, and patients should stop taking it if urinary symptoms develop.
