Cefrom Launched In UK
Hoechst Roussel has launched its cephalosporin antibiotic Cefrom (cefpirome) in the UK. The company claims that with its twice-daily dosage, cefpirome is more cost-effective than other cephalosporins. It is indicated for first-line therapy of serious, life-threatening infections, particularly in intensive care units, oncology and hematology departments.
