Cancer Research UK, described as the world's leading independent organization dedicated to cancer research, has issued a warning about the dangers to patients of supplying themselves from unlicensed Internet pharmacies. John Toy, Cancer Research UK's medical director, said that "it is very worrying that patients may be purchasing medicines on-line to treat themselves." Dr Toy urged patients considering self-medicating to speak to their cancer doctor.
