BRIEF—Eisai updates Leqembi outlook

11 November 2024

Sweden-based BioArctic saw its fall 7.5% to 139.90 kronor on Friday, after its announced that its partner, Japan’s Eisa, has updated its revenue outlook for the Alzheimer’s treatment Leqembi (lecanemab) for the 2024 fiscal year (FY), which runs from April 2024 through March 2025.

Eisai now expects Leqembi sales to total 42.5 billion yen ($279 million), around 3 billion kronor ($278 million) for the period, down from 56.5 billion yen announced in May.

This would generate approximately 300 million kronor in royalty to BioArctic in the same period. Leqembi sales for the first half of Eisai's FY2024 amounted to 16.3 billion yen, resulting in 112.4 million kronor in royalty to BioArctic.
