Vertex presents new data on Kalydeco at CF conference

US biotech Vertex Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: VRTX) today announced 10 scientific abstracts from the company’s portfolio of cystic fibrosis (CF) medicines are being presented at the 41st European Cystic Fibrosis Conference taking place June 6-9, 2018, in Belgrade, Serbia.

Collectively, the data support the potential disease-modifying benefits of treating the underlying cause of CF and Vertex’s progress toward enhancing and expanding treatment options for all people living with CF.

Vertex’ Kalydeco (ivacaftor) is the first medicine to treat the underlying cause of CF in people with specific mutations in the CFTR gene.
