Californian firm Anivive Lifesciences is broadening its scope from animal health to human vaccines with a significant new funding grant.
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health, has awarded Anivive a contract valued at up to $33 million.
This funding will support the development of a human vaccine against coccidioides, the fungus responsible for valley fever.
