UK government backs global partnerships in genomics and personalized medicine

Representatives of governments, healthcare providers, academia and industry from 15 countries gathered in the UK to explore collaborations aimed at developing their local genomics capability.

Healthcare UK, part of the Department of Health, staged the event this week to discuss the challenges around genomics, to showcase British expertise and forge international partnerships in the field.

The work of the research community, backed by the public and private sectors, is helping the UK to lead many advances in genomics.
