A recommendation from healthcare specialists in the UK could lead to the widespread adoption of chickenpox vaccines in the country.
The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunization (JCVI) has recommended that the varicella vaccine should be added to the UK’s routine childhood immunization program.
If the measures are adopted by lawmakers, the vaccine will be offered to all children in two doses, at 12 and 18 months of age.
