The UK Bioindustry Association (BIA) has joined the European Biosolutions Coalition, an initiative established by several industry organisations to elevate the prominence of biosolutions on Europe’s agenda.
This announcement from the trade group comes two days before a general election in the UK, which could see a new party in power at Downing Street.
BIA sees the new Westminster parliament and government as ideally placed to drive a science-led regulatory agenda for deep biotech, and is confident that the companies in this sector are key to creating the innovations today that will grow the UK economy in the next few years.
