UCB presents positive Phase III data for bimekizumab in rare skin disease

Positive results from two Phase III trials have been announced by Belgian drug major UCB (Euronext: UCB).

The BE HEARD I and BE HEARD II studies have been designed to test the efficacy and safety of bimekizumab for adults with moderate to severe hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), a chronic and debilitating inflammatory skin disease.

The results show statistically-significant and consistent clinically-meaningful improvements over placebo in the signs and symptoms of HS after 16 weeks.
