Report details knock-on effects of COVID-19 on US healthcare

The COVID-19 outbreak is having a terrible impact on patients and frontline medical professionals in many parts of the USA, but that is far from its only effect on the country’s healthcare system.

The IQVIA Institute for Human Data Science has published a report highlighting key shifts in the US healthcare landscape as a result of the pandemic, including the statistic that patient visits to physician offices or clinics are down 70%-80% from pre-COVID periods.
