Positive Phase III result for Tecentriq in first-line melanoma trial
Swiss pharma giant Roche (ROG: SIX) has announced positive results from the Phase III IMspire150 study of Tecentriq (atezolizumab).
The trial, which is testing the checkpoint blocker as a first-line option for BRAF-mutant melanomas, met its primary endpoint of progression-free survival (PFS).
The study showed adding Tecentriq to Cotellic (cobimetinib) and Zelboraf (vemurafenib) helped to reduce the risk of disease worsening or death, compared to placebo plus Cotellic and Zelboraf.
